Who is the Good Brother Peter?
Peter Preaumeaux has always had the seed of entrepreneurship planted deep within. As a high school graduate, he knew he didn’t want to experience college but wanted a professional career. He immediately injected himself into corporate America in sales. There he gained the experience he’d need to venture out on his own. In addition to this foundation, the core of his skills continue to flow from his father who took him under his wing when he worked in marketing during his career in the radio and broadcasting industry for 30 years.
Peter was heavily influenced by his father who gave him a background in media which morphed into music for Peter later in his development as a DJ. His love of hip hop bore him a unique taste in artists that were not as accepted as they are today. They include most of the entertainers who are considered legends and trails blazers in the genre. To give an idea, the legendary Wu-Tang Clan, the chop and screw DJing technique (from the late DJ Screw out of Houston,Texas), OutKast and many more was on his playlist.
With the inspiration of hip hop, as he went offshore as Peter says, it never stopped him from any of his endeavors to contribute to the birth of a clothing line The Peter Nappie Collection and now a radio station KBLK Good Newz 77 for Black Americans that focuses on good news. Peter says his station provides balance to counter the great amount of propaganda that is geared towards Black Americans. We at The HuriKane Report tend to agree. In his good news, Peter gives us resources on where we can go in our community to help us eat better, take overall better care of our bodies, and a host of other subjects.
A very important subject to Peter is family. While still very involved in family projects with his father and his own, he still finds time to educate himself as a nontraditional college student. One subject he is very passionate about is our culture of Ifa and this shows through most of his inspiration for his clothing collection. The Orisha’s must be pleased with their son with his production of The Peter Nappie Collection and KBLK which both began in 2015. It is ever expanding with very attractive design detail. He has something for everyone. Peter has also helped The HuriKane Report with promotional content. With his hands in so many pots, he still finds time to help black owned and operated businesses in creative and unique ways. His current comparable projects are with Vibe Out Fridays at the Benoit Gallery, an event which he promotes on KBLK, where there are lots of great products to choose from and be introduced to.

“The god who created the earth; who created the sun that gives us light. The god who holds up the ocean; who makes the thunder roar. Our God who has ears to hear. You who are hidden in the clouds; who watch us from where you are. You see all that the white has made us suffer. The white man’s god asks him to commit crimes. But the god within us wants to do good. Our god, who is so good, so just, He orders us to revenge our wrongs. It’s He who will direct our arms and bring us the victory. It’s He who will assist us. We all should throw away the image of the white men’s god who is so pitiless. Listen to the voice for liberty that speaks in all our hearts.“
